Kaiju No. 8 released a special movie episode this March!
Featuring the greatest moments from Season 1 and a brand-new special episode called “Hoshina’s Day Off”, the Kaiju No. 8 movie is an entertaining feature. In a world where Kaiju (huge monsters) are always attacking Japan, Kafka Hibino wants to join the Defense Force and fight with his childhood friend Mina Ashiro. But things go in a strange direction for him when he turns into a Kaiju himself by chance. In order to pass the Defense Force test, Kafka works hard to keep his secret hidden. Reno Ichikawa, a young coworker, helps him. But when strange, smart Kaiju attack, he has to make a choice that will change his whole life.
The movie will both tell the story of Kafka’s life again and also show a special story called “Hoshina’s Day Off,” which is about Soshiro Hoshina, who is the vice-captain of the Third Division. There is no doubt that Hoshina is an important part of the fight against Kaiju. He is known for having amazing sword skills and strong abilities in battle. Fans will learn more about his life outside of battle in this episode, which shows a different side of his personality.
The movie’s first showing will be in Japan on March 28, 2025. Later showings are planned in other countries. Fans can look forward to tough fights, touching scenes, and new information about one of the series’ most beloved characters!
