Have you been an avid Attack on Titan fan since its release in 2013? Or did you venture into it and start being ardent about its storyline and find yourself looking forward to the next seasons they will release? If so, we have some good news about the new season they will air in November 2023!

Here is a recap of what happened in the first three seasons.

“Attack on Titan” is an anime series set in a dystopian world where mankind lives behind massive walled cities to defend itself from giant humanoid beings known as Titans, which consume people. The narrative opens with the Titans’ unexpected breakthrough of the outermost wall, Wall Maria. Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert witness the horrors of their community being destroyed, and Eren’s mother is slain by a Titan. Eren, driven by vengeance, joins the military to fight the Titans. The season covers their training, confrontations with the Titans, and uncovering a government plot obscuring their actual nature. It all comes to a head when Eren transforms into a Titan during a battle within Wall Rose.

Season 2 delves more into the existence of able-bodied Titans, such as the Beast Titan and others. The peculiar powers of Eren as a Titan-shifter are under scrutiny, and it comes to light that there are traitors amongst those in the ranks of the Survey Corps. The season probes further into the Titans’ secrets and their link to humanity.

It is in Season 3 where more exciting things happened, and a lot was uncovered. In Part 1, Eren and his fellow soldiers lead the Survey Corps outside the walls in search of the truth about the Titans. They encounter problems with the military police, who are part of the government, as they become aware of a hidden group labeled the “Yeagerists” that supports Eren’s cause. Part 2 witnesses tensions rise as Marley, a nation outside the gates, sends soldiers to break into Paradis Island, which leads to ferocious fights between Titans and humans. The season also dives into major characters’ backstories and motives, giving insight into the exacerbated geopolitical circumstance.

The Final Season was divided into parts.

Airing for two consecutive years with a hiatus in between, the final season was divided into parts, and the first two were exhilarating. It was shown in Part 1 how Eren disguised as an Eldian-Marleyan soldier who suffered from war trauma. This was all a part of his plan to conquer Marley and obtain the War Hammer Titan from Lara Tybur during his brother’s speech, also killing him along the way. This is where it was revealed that Eren and Zeke, the wielder of the Beast Titan, conspired to execute a plan: The Euthanization. However, the plot thickens when the lore is shaken because of Eren Yeager himself in Part 2. He tried convincing Ymir to break the curse and started his foremost plan: The Rumbling. This arc shows how he manipulated everyone into thinking he was on board with the euthanization plan when, in reality, his plan all along was to start the rumbling against 1.8 billion people and flatten the world, only leaving the Eldians, Ymir’s subjects.

The Final Season: Part 3.

With everything that has transpired, we look forward to seeing what Part 3 has in store for us. Knowing that the manga version of Attack on Titan has already ended last April 9, 2021, we anticipate that this season’s Part 3 will also be the final part. This manga, written by Hajime Isayama and adapted into an anime, is truly a masterpiece. It has already been 10 years since the first episode was aired, and it is finally coming to an end. We hope this season’s Part 3 will show us exciting animations and beautifully convey each character’s emotions, bringing forth light to the story’s lore.
